Well, there IS someone working this week! My thanks to Rik in the U.K. for sharing this Holiday E-Card from across the pond.

If more are shared…I will post them here in the spirit of the holidays…until my time is done.

I have also posted this in my blog, Insights on Admissions Marketing:
Per my previous post, I thought I would share two examples regarding the Holiday E-Cards I have seen/received this season. I offer no commentary on either. I am simply providing them as examples you can review, to arrive at your own conclusions. Names and information about each institution have been removed. You can click on each to see a full size image of my screen capture on my post at Insights on Admissions Marketing.

Example # 2:

Please feel free to send me your examples too. Happy Holidays!

Just a quick post, because more than likely no one is going to read this because you are all on vacation this week!
Relative to electronic holiday greetings, a few pointers:
1. Keep it simple.
This doesn’t mean you cannot include E-Card animations or other fun, interactive elements in your electronic holiday greetings. Rather, keep it simple means don’t try to do too much. Don’t ask for a prospect to apply or request information. Don’t add other requirements to a recipient such as registering on your site. In keeping with the spirit of the season, give…without requiring anything of your recipient. Use other messages to drive response
2. Keep it simple. part 2.
As mentioned in my last post, there are more and more restrictions on email now. Yet, I still see a number of institutions trying to embed interactive elements, or send complex designs in their E-cards. Remember, the whole idea is to get the e-card into the recipients inbox. To do this, keep it simple, keep it short and then drive them to your web site for the fun, dynamic and interactive stuff…if you have it. Something as simple as a header, text and footer should do the trick.
3. Have a Happy Holiday!
Relax, enjoy family friends and fun.
If any of you have examples of E-Cards you felt were particularly effective that you received, please share them with me here. Or, you can email them to me at drwacker@jamestower.com
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
